Welcome to My Daughter’s Gap Year and other Adventures – Learning English through Stories, my first ever blog.

This blog is about personal stories, that started when my Generation Z daughter worked her socks off to to travel to Australia on a gap year.

Quite frankly I didn’t think she would keep a diary, so I wrote it for us both to look back on.

It’s also for all those missing someone travelling, and for those about to embark on their own Travels.

My name is Rachel, and during the Covid -19 pandemic had to leave my job and am now an online English teacher, which I love.

There is a supporting podcast to go with this blog, for listening skills.

ESL students can use it as an authentic resource for listening, pronunciation, writing skills, vocab’ and grammar work.

I hope you enjoy it!
